We are a family owned and operated business that has been providing quality outdoor services in the Colorado Rockies for over 35 years. Our lives have evolved around the outdoors. We are college educated in wildlife management, are proactive in numerous conservation and wildlife groups, and are members of Colorado Outfitters Association, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Wild Turkey Federation, Mule Deer Foundation, National Rifle Association, and Colorado Bowhunters Association. We are a bonded and insured outfitting service and proudly hold License #1260 issued by the Colorado Outfitters Board of Registration.

Each fall Ponderosa Outfitters runs fully guided and outfitted hunts for elk, deer, antelope, and moose in the majestic Rocky Mountains of northern Colorado.

As big game seasons come to an end, we find ourselves rolling right into the Colorado waterfowl seasons during which Ponderosa Waterfowl Adventures’ staff offers daily hunts for Canada geese along the Front Range of northern Colorado. All our hunts are done on private land leases strategically placed throughout the region.

While our staff is finishing the regular dark goose season here in Colorado, we make the trek in mid-February to north central Kansas to partake in the spectacular spring snow
goose Conservation season.

The first of April finds us back in the great state of Kansas in pursuit of “Thunder Chickens”. We offer guided hunts on private lands for both Eastern and Rio Grande turkeys.
